Yorkshire engineers HJ Consulting Engineers has appointed Anthony Armitage as technical director

We have strengthened our operations with the appointment of a technical director – structures to support national expansion.

In his new role, Anthony Armitage will support the development and delivery of our technical strategy while overseeing the day-to-day running of new and existing projects. Other responsibilities will include compliance management, staff development alongside providing engineering leadership for complex design projects.

Reporting to MD Andrew Fairburn, he will also work closely with the directors to support the company’s longer term business development strategy. With more than 30 years of building and structural engineering experience, Anthony will be looking to support HJCE’s growing volume of work in the national commercial and industrial, telecoms, transportation, heritage and geoenvironmental sectors.

Andrew said: “Anthony’s appointment strengthens our ability to deliver large complex projects and enhances the expertise and technical compliance we offer. He has the experience to support the expansion of our structures work, boosting the scope and depth of the specialist services we provide to clients.”
