What a CATCH!

Our engineering expertise is at the heart of delivering the latest phase of CATCH’s new facility in Stallingborough – located between Grimsby and Immingham – which specialises in training for the process, energy, engineering and renewables sectors.

Development of CATCH 1.5 has seen us deliver an undisclosed contract to provide structural and civil engineering design services. This work has helped to facilitate the completion of the foundations and steel ahead of finalising the construction of the roof section on the 17,500 sq. ft. total structure.

Completed earlier this year, the project will enhance CATCH’s expanding range of facilities, offering new conferencing spaces, meeting rooms as well as opportunities for local employers to engage with schools and members of the wider community.

We were involved from concept through to detailed design work, providing extensive technical and consultancy support around the development of a modern building, which has been constructed using the latest low-carbon methods.

MD Andrew Fairburn said HJCE has been ‘proud’ to provide its services for a ‘transformative’ development, adding: “From start to finish, this has been a fantastic project for us to be involved with, seeing us contribute significantly to the delivery of an impressive building. The work has showcased our capabilities together with the engineering skills and expertise available locally to help bring forward first class projects and detailed design work.”

David Talbot, CEO of CATCH, said: “HJCE has been an integral partner in helping us to create a world-class facility that’s contributing to the training of highly skilled people, who will be at the forefront of the region’s current and future industrial and manufacturing successes.”
